Army Colonel Sunset Belinsky has said that residents will see the vehicles moving through their neighbourhoods, but they should not be involved or spread panic. For residents themselves, all of this is frightening and unnecessary.
I see tanks on the road and I feel fear. Where are we going? Are we becoming more militarized? I don't like that at all. In my opinion all this is some kind of unnecessary money spending”, some citizens have indicated.
United States President Donald Trump has said the celebrations will be a one-time show in life. July 4th marks the US's 243rd anniversary of independence this year.
The demonstration of military power on this day is not common, but President Trump, seems to have been obsessed with the idea of a parade after taking part in the betting day celebrations in Paris two years ago.
President Trump is expected to give another speech, which does not match tradition. Critics have said Trump will try to use this event as a campaign for the second term at the White House.
