The catastrophic names of Kosovo clubs: “Vulstaination, Vlasnia, Brotherhood”, “Dania, Dardan, Dardana”, “Feronici, Onix”

Every time we talk about Kosovo football, we'll think of interesting images of the tin field in wet days and of dry and yellow fields in hot days. What color is a football field? Green, no doubt. In Kosovo, however, the fields receive color according to the weather.

On rainy days it becomes dark green, twirled with the brown of a mortar. In hot days it becomes yellow because of the lack of irrigation equipment. But Kosovo football suffers terribly even from creativity.

KF Brotherhood, KF Vlasnia, KF Brotherhood. That's what three Kosovo football teams are called. Furthermore, one team is called Dardana, another Dardania, and the last of the Dardanians.

Furthermore, there are other names such as “Basshim”, which are held by two clubs from two different cities. Even “Dukagin” is held by two clubs.

But other popular names continue to rise day-to-day. What does the name mean? OnixFor example, as a club from Istog is called. And remember, you have no right to read it as Oniks, but as Onix. Periscop asked the club what it meant.

A little later, the response from Onix Club came. They showed where they came up with the genius idea of the name.

Their answer was interesting: “Onix is a stone called onix where hot water flows into the bathroom. ”

Interesting explanation. Of course we would understand what it is if that name were written correctly.

The stone in which the media representative of the club or whoever he is, in fact it says “Onyx”, but we've almost never looked, right?

Another football club is called Galaxia. Why would anyone ask? No answer. Maybe they want to grow up like our galaxy. Get bigger than Manchester City. Another, in the category of women, is called Basil 2015. Then there is another one called Intellectuals. Do you see the E between the letter "l" and "th"? We decided because we don't understand why at least the name of the women's team wasn't “-intlectual Et”.

Meanwhile, in the young boys, in the U-17 category, a football club named “El Classico”, possibly as reference to the largest derbe of Spanish teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Paths of Owners

In 2013 or 2014, no matter what, the champion of Kosovo football was declared the <x0Hysy” Football Club. So the best team in the country was declared. That's because this is what the owner of the club named Hysni or Hysen was called short. And the company had the same name. Comes in after a few years, unfortunately, would die.

But quite problematic has also been funding our clubs from public and private business companies. For example, the Kosovo Energy Corporation [For example] KEK, which deals with electricity production, has its own team, named KF KEK. Similarly, we had the champion of Kosovo in the time of Milot Rasica and Ismet Munish, Lamkos, who was named after the company. The two previously mentioned Trepca were named after the metallural company Trepca. Besides, Ramiz Sadiku. The Balkans from Suhareka. And so on.

We also forgot Fernikil, which is an alloy of iron that contains 35 percent nickel and 65 percent iron. But, which also serves the Kosovo champion, The KF Fernikli, who, however, took it from the already privatised company and is not known if it finances it anymore.

In European football, we see names of cities as names of clubs. Even in Kosovo, we have some Sosh. Pristina, Gjilan, Decani, Drenas etc. We also have patriotic - motivated teams. The union is one of them. The patriotic name is July 2nd, which has a strong academy. And, in addition, Pristina's Flamurtar, the Prizren Freedom of Peja.

The Meaning of brutal Banality

We can agree that the names of football clubs in Kosovo represent a serious lack of creativity and authenticity. And with that and a clear thought and vision.

Although the number of football players in the country is too large, Kosovo football teams do not have fans. Few of them go to stadiums, many of whom do not even have tickets to sell.

Where are the fans?

This particular lack of vision explains the inability of these clubs to attract hundreds of thousands of football fans to the stadiums, and thus, through tickets and ads, to finance and build their own success. Not to be defeated by amateur teams from the Faroe Islands of Gibraltar.

The name should at least express a significant element of a collective identity, which would make local football fans rush into the stadiums. Which would warm fans and give meaning to this sport, which has now become mere entertainment for failed businessmen. /Periscope
