In a response to Radio Free Europe, the embassy has said it is aware of Haradinaj's invitation from the Special Court, but this is “issues for the Specialised Prosecutor's Office and would not be appropriate to comment more at this time”.
As for the possibility of organising early elections, the spokesman for this embassy, Samuel Paice, has estimated that Kosovo institutions should decide on the issue, writes rel.
Kosovo's “Constitution clarifys the process that needs to be followed in the case of the prime minister's resignation, and for announcing early elections. In line with this, this is the issue Kosovo institutions must decide on”, it is said among other things in response.
