Former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga, during the Security Conference being held in Pristina, said NATO's intervention in Kosovo 20 years ago, “was inevitable”.
It was the Alliance's most determined intervention since its establishment. After all the measures, economic, political and diplomatic, military intervention became inevitable, in halting the killings, violence and ethnic cleansing that was happening in Kosovo at the time, Jahjaga said.
According to Jahjaga, Kosovo is a common account of success between the international community and the people of Kosovo themselves, adding that now after 20 years of freedom, Kosovo will continue to produce stability in the region.
“Basco with the limitless help of our friends to the United States, Great Britain, the European Union and other Western allies, we have our own fates and it's up to us how to direct them”.
“I stand with full conviction that Kosovo and its Western and lyriable people will continue to produce stability and will be as 20 years ago and beyond as the conception point of a peaceful and stable Balkans. Because that is the way we as a people and institution have transferred to ourselves”, said former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga.
