Vetevendosje Movement MP Albulen Haxhiu has commented on the Kosovo Constitutional Court's decision, which has answered the request of the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement, which called for recognition of the Law's constitutionality for tasks, responsibilities and competencies of the Kosovo State Delegation in the process of dialogue with Serbia.
Albulen Haxhiu from the Vetevendosje Movement said President Thaci cannot lead Kosovo in talks with Serbia.
“As we said at the time we disputed the Law on Dialogue, the draft dialogue bill has created a non-religious delegation to which they referred. The Constitutional Court today found that the Law on Dialogue is anti-unconstitutional in its entire body”, Haxhiu said.
According to Haxhiu, the only solution is going to extraordinary elections.
According to her, the Constitutional Court has argued that the Government has constitutional gear, Kosovo's president cannot represent Kosovo in dialogue with Serbia, while the only solution is extraordinary elections.
“We have rejected President Thaci, the way this dialogue went with Serbia. In these circumstances where we have a president who has been constitutionally leading the dialogue, and the prime minister who refused to take over his competencies, the only solution is to go to extraordinary elections”, she said.
