US President Donald Trump believes Britain may have an essential trade agreement with the US after it leaves the EU.
Trump spoke as he and Prime Minister Theresa May held a meeting with business leaders on the second day of his visit to Great Britain.
We will work hard, but I think we should have a very important trade agreement, which will be a fair deal and I think it's something that you and we want”, Donald Trump said.
Trump's visit to the United Kingdom has been met with protests in many cities in the country, while the rest of his stay will be accompanied by manifestations.
On Monday evening, Trump was the guest of Queen Elizabeth, at a state dinner in the Bukingham Palace, where he praised, as he said, the eternal friendship between the United Kingdom and the United States.
The president's visit coincides with the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of what is known as “D-Day”, where Queen and Trump will participate today.
