The Taliban spokesman Zubalullah Mujaheded announced through the network “Twitter” that the seventh round of talks between representatives of the United States and Taliban negotiators has begun in Doha in Qatar.
Mujahed said the talks were scheduled to start in the morning, but that happened at noon in Doha, where the militant group has a representative office.
The talks began on the same day that the Taliban militants killed 26 militants who were supporters of the Afghan government during the fighting in northern Afghanistan.
An official of the Afghanistan Interior Ministry in Kabul said this attack is a sign that the Taliban are aiming to negotiate from a more favourable position through the force story.
The Taliban negotiating team is being led by Mullah Abdul Ghana Baradar, who is cofounder of their movement, along with Mullah Mohammad Omar, writes “Free Europe”.
