His former co-partisans -- Vetevendosje activists -- in January of this year had made criminal remarks to the head of the Pristina municipality, Shpend Ahmeti, for they say, misuse of 530 thousand euros in the milk supply tender for first and fifth-grade students.
For the case in question, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina in January this year had confirmed that he had launched investigations.
And shortly after that, Ahmeti had indicted his former property of slander.
After handing over the indictment to the Pristina Constitutional Court, Ahmeti had said that in the indictment he has demanded compensation, which the court will post.
Ahmeti has reiterated that the procedures have been open and that the price of bought milk has been the cheapest in Kosovo.
But how far the investigation of the milk tender has gone and whether an indictment is expected against Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti has been contacted by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina.
Kujtim Munishi, the chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, has said investigations into the milk tender are continuing and that there is still nothing concrete about the case.
“Rasti is still under investigation, we can't say anything until the investigation is complete. I could go wrong about the date because the investigations are continuing, so we can't say anything without taking all the evidence”, Munich said.
From December last year, the Pristina municipality had failed to make milk supplies for schoolchildren -- low levels from first to fifth grade. That was because he was late in procurement procedures and then he had problems.
Later, in May of this year, the Pristina municipality, which is led by President Shpend Ahmeti, had decided again to supply the low-level Vita milk schools.
The municipality had decided to negotiate the milk tender with the company “A BRAZEN” L.L.C., which is run by the people of “Devolli group”, which for product is Vita milk.
According to the tender file, in the price description, the previous amount of milk is 1,834.245 pieces in the tetra-minal ambalage 250 ml. The tender that was carried out under negotiated procedure without publishing the contract is a framework agreement for only six months.
The projected value of the contract for this amount of milk is 375 thousand euros, while the price for a 250ml package will be 20 cents, just like the previous tender.
The Pristina municipality has had two contracts for milk supply of I-V classroom students. The first was linked in 2015 to “Group” and has been a framework contract for several years. Under this contract, a package of milk has been bought 10 cents, where the total value of the contract has been 200 thousand euros. And the second contract, which expired in January 2019 was linked to last year, and a pack of milk was bought 20 cents, where the total value was 733 thousand and 698 euros.
