In his letter, Geci has expressed despair over the situation in the country, saying it was caused by the actions and inactions of leaders
On the other hand, Geci has written that he feels bad that he and many warriors were introduced as criminals until the real Serb criminals were forgotten.
Next to Getz's letter:
Dear citizens of Kosovo! I never thought the day would come when I would be addressed with this letter, especially not this content.
But as if most of this is just one thing I never thought would happen. I've thought many times that I wouldn't experience Kosovo's freedom, but I didn't think that during it you would covet the friends who fell.
This despair is heavier than any enemy bullet in battle. It's heavier because it's not just the result of the enemy's work. Kosovo's serious situation today is the result of our leaders' actions and inactions.
I've been silent for a long time, understanding the situation that I've become after the war as a need for sacrifice. Even mine is the work of my friends more than the enemy. And I can't keep quiet anymore, not for anything but I'm convinced that the shocks me and the people who contributed are not for the good of the country.
Instead, they have denigrated our resistance, until it has been deigned and achieved subliments such as freedom and independence, as it is now denigrateing the dignity of the victims of this country. My soul hurts that we didn't have much force.
Protect each citizen from Serbian madness. To protect each woman, sister and mother. But I don't understand how it happened since after the war nobody spoke. Everyone actually got hurt with us. They presented us as a criminal and forgot the Serb criminals.
While I'm writing, I can't understand how it happens that we haven't created a court that follows those crimes yet.
I have a message for fellow fighters in power: Creveat U NMIC, EULEX and Special Tribunal to take with your fellow fighters, and did you create no mechanism to prosecute Serbia's crimes? Who were you afraid of? What deeds did you fear?
In the marketplace who did you buy your freedom to harm the truth? You must answer those questions. Not to me, but to the citizens. I know my way. He'll sacrifice everything. Depressed extremes, I will face any institution that seeks truth.
I will say it as it is because only truth protects Kosovo. Protected from the enemy. It protects it from you too.
