During today's meeting of the Socialist Party chairmanship, following President Ilir Meta's decision to disarm Election Day, he has indicated it was an expected decision.
On the other hand, he has firmly declared that, “We are the Parliamentary Republic, not the Presidential. So nothing stops us from moving forward on June 30th. A very long parliamentary debate will take place Thursday. Spread all arguments against this president's decision. Thursday will be finalised by resolution for the dismissal of President”.
He's wanted everyone to focus on June 30th, underlining that “we're in the middle of the” game.
Regarding the dismissal of the head of state, he said that after the debate the issue would be discussed at the Central Election Commission and would then be passed to Electoral College”
