The Kosovo Statistics Agency's data points to an increase in the price of consumption from flour, meat, trees and some other foods, KTV reports.
According to statistics, in April, bread and cereals have increased by 11.6 percent, while milk, cheese, and eggs 1.6 percent.
The rise in consumer prices has also affected the rise in import and production prices during this period.
But compared to citizens' monthly incomes and pensions, food products prices are high.
Citizens complain that to fill a family basket with the most basic consumer products, with prices currently available, neither does the salary cover a thousand euros.
The impact on price hikes has also had on putting a 100 per cent tax on Serbian and Bosnian products in November last year.
