Five prisoners died since January

Yesterday, at the age of 27, the prisoner I.A. who was serving his sentence at the Dubrava Correct Center.

Three prisoners died over the past year, while five prisoners died this year. Their age was between 27 and 69 years of age” in response.

And the reasons for their deaths differ, mostly as a result of illness.

“Deaths have resulted from their diseases. They were mainly suffering from severe diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, infectious disease, and”, and the answer is said among other things.

In a report by the director of this department, Milazim Jocaj, sent to Health Minister Uran Ismaili, has revealed in detail the health activities performed against prisoners in all correctional centres.

In this report, there have been 14 thousand and 552 health consultations on prisoners in total for three months.

This report reportedly injured 47 people, 92 prisoners, hunger strikes 27, attempted suicides, isolation (Vetmi) 197 cases, while sexual abuses have not occurred.

For the first three months of 2019, shipments outside prisons have been 379 cases.

The number of smokers, abusers of alcohol, drugs, and others has also been specified.

As seen on this chart, the number of first visited has been 982 prisoners.

The number of smokers, 638, of alcohol users 105, of drug users 167, cases of diabetes 20 prisoners, cases of arterial hypertension 37 and so on.
