The Pentagon believes that using nuclear weapons can create conditions for achieving crucial results in a battle and restoring strategic stability. At least that's what it says at a new nuclear doctor, who was approved last week by the chiefs of joint US staff.
The document, called nuclear operations, was released on June 11th, and in the last 14 years was the first document of this type. Weapons control experts consider such an American doctrine very dangerous to develop and win a nuclear war.
In the document released days ago, it is said that the use of a nuclear weapon will radically change the battlefield and create conditions that will affect the way commanders dominate the conflict.
At the beginning of that document, a statement was quoted as saying of a Cold War theory, Herman Kahn, who had said that my proposal is that nuclear weapons would ever be used in the next 100 years, but their use of money is small and controlled, more than widespread and unlimited”, reports The Guardian, broadcast Periscope.
Kahn is known as a contradiction figure. He argued a nuclear war could be won.
The document, which spoke of this doctrine of nuclear operations, was removed from the website after a week and now has limited access to it, only through an electronic library. But before he retired, he was dismissed by Steven Attengoud, who runs the government secret project in the Federation of American Scientists.
Government officials have not indicated why the document has been erased, a week after publication, until they have added that it will only be available for official use./ P ERISCOPIA
