The PDK expresses regret over the incident in its headquarters yard today.
The communiqué states that PDK security members have reacted on the basis of their duty, since they were not previously informed of such activity, thus creating the misunderstanding that the crowd gathered in front of the headquarters had other goals rather than the development of a civil society activity.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo wants to emphasise this is an isolated case and no longer coincides with its spirit and values. The Democratic Party of Kosovo believes and promotes the fundamental right of democracy, of protest and civic response”, a PDK communique said.
PDK Parliamentary Group chief Memli Krasniqi has met representatives of civil society who have voiced their concerns over the draft law to finance political parties last week.
“Of course their concerns will be taken into account and addressed with the highest seriousness, on the part of the Kosovo Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo, as in the past, is open to co-operation with all civil society organisations and views them as partners in the common travel of statehood”, the community of this party said.
