The former midfielder of England's national and Manchester United, Paul Scholes, has been fined close to 10,000 Euros after acknowledging that he had broken FA's booking rules.
Scholes was accused of playing 140 times in a football match between August 17, 2015 and January 12, 2019.
The FA also warned him not to repeat that behavior.
I want to apologize and completely understand and accept the fine that was imposed on me by the federation,” said Scholes.
He added that he had not known that he was breaking the rules in question, since he had not personally been linked to those who played soccer.
Scholes had been the coach of Oldham Athletic for 31 days before he resigned on March 14th of this year, and currently has 10 percent of shares in the Salford City team that belongs to the fourth category of English football.
The 44-year-old has won 11 Premier League titles with Manchester United and held 66 matches for England.
In total, Scholes had spent over 30 thousand euros on the bookies, winning only 5 grand. /Periscope
