Kosovo, Switzerland plan to co-operate in economy, tourism

Last night in the amphithesar” MS 130 “of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the state University of Geneva has been debated about creating more efficient opportunities and co-operation between Kosovo and Switzerland in the field of economy, tourism and investment. This topic of mutual interest has been the initiative of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, [...]

This topic of mutual interest has been initiated by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, which without hesitation has also been supported by the Albanian People's University of Geneva, the Swiss Economic Oda Kosovo, the Swiss Albanian Business Network, and the “Shala Supermarche” that lies in Geneva and Loza.

Nonprofit associations such as «Cre é Action” that field action has charity.

Before beginning with tourism resource analysis and view of the current situation in different areas of Kosovo's economy, whether Switzerland, the leader of this table, Mrs. Albana Krasniqi-Malaj, director of many years ago of U.S. The Geneva PSH has given the word to Mrs. Shyhrete Kastrati, representative of the Ministry of Diaspora and Strategic Integrations of the Republic of Kosovo.

Ladies, Kastrati initially expressed her deep gratitude to the diaspora, saying that exiles both in the past and now their fates are linked to their country of origin Kosovo.

They in all phases have been the main contributors to the country's development. In addition to Kosovo's continued contributions, exiles have succeeded in the countries where they live. Today, a considerable number of them stand out as businessmen, politicians, teachers, doctors, officials, and so on. These achievements have been followed closely and have been taken as a good opportunity to consider topics like this one. Kastrati has also thanked Ms. Albana Krasniqi Malaj, thanks to which this important working meeting has been accomplished.

Kastrati said it is not the time to address Kosovo's past, but we all know that it has emerged and destroyed by the war with Serbia. Everything has started from scratch, despite the desire to be better there is progress and development. So, both every country in transition and our country needs support from everyone.

On its path to independence, Kosovo has been helped and strongly supported by Switzerland. We are always grateful to Switzerland and its people, Kastrati said. She, Switzerland, as Europe's most stable country, values co-operation with Kosovo, not only in tourism but other areas as well.

The potentials in tourism, providing detailed explanations and providing spectacular views of the Albanian Alps, Valleys and glaciers, where they are seen and the extracts at the bottom of the circus have been exhumed over a quarter hour. Fatos Catalozzi, chairman of Kosovo's “Outodoro Agency, ”.

He has also spoken of Kosovo's peripheral mountains, such as Rugova's Grip, Decani Bistrica Bistrica of Prizren, and especially as something very attractive to foreigners, which consists of underground channels and emptinesss, and extremely interesting cave ornaments.

Such are Gadima's cave in the village of Gadime in Lipjan, Radavci Cave at the source of White Drini, caves in the canon of Mirusha, and so on.

Thank Mr. Catalozzi and the Agency he runs Kosovo in recent years have visited hundreds of visitors from Europe, Asia, and even from remote Australia.

Also, descriptions have been made to historical monuments in Prizren, Pristina and other Kosovo countries.

Meanwhile, Pierre Mauddet, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic and the Geneva Canton, has focused his discussion on the early arrivals of Kosovo Albanians as seasonal workers in Switzerland, or Geneva.

The arrivals at that time, he said, were working hard. But their status changed. They took trades and soon locked themselves in various fields of our economy.

The number of Albanians coming to Switzerland, alone, said, Maudet multiplied during the 1990s, when the situation in Kosovo deteriorated dramatically. Then with the outbreak of war, in the late '90s, you had the great ecstasy. Even with this wave, numerous visits by Kosovo Albanians to our country. Despite their experiences, most of them became involved in Switzerland's social and political life.

Particularly did some youths who soon became part of our national football. Maudette, with his long experience in policymaking and as host to many ministerial posts in this Swiss Republic and canton, also commemorates the time when in the quality of the head of the Department of Integration, there had been in the hands of interesting Albanian files, candidates for naturalisation.

Later, he says, they were placed in law enforcement and various reservaries of justice, economy, health and education.

Should the Albanian community be calculated according to figures, says Pierre Maudet, it would constitute Switzerland's 27th canton. The exchange of experiences in Switzerland, Kosovo, has effectively left Mr. Stefan Sarcanay, chairman of the Kosovo-Switzer Economic Ode.

That case was very concrete, stressing that the potential for mutual co-operation exists, but some challenges must be overcome as well. That major obstacle sees lack of waste recycling deposits. Mr. Sarakany says visitors from where we're going to need clean surroundings and good conditions.

According to him, all branches of the economy should be developed without policy interference. They should be left to experts on respective fields. Kosovo, he sees it as a place of great potential, but appeals for the environment to be protected from pollution and cutting mountains without any criteria. As a bad habit, he also considers throwing out of place, especially plastic, garbage. Building warehouses for recycling Mr. Sarcanay sees it as urgent. On the contrary, efforts to develop Kosovo's gastronomy and tourism are considered without any perspective.

This kind of economic forum was attended by the Mighty Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Switzerland, Mrs. Nazanne Breca. She welcomed the initiative by commending the initiatives, and by promising assistance as much as she allows her ambassadorship position.

Mr. Ramadan Avdiu, general consul of the Republic of Kosovo, in Geneva. He warned about plastic waste sees it as not only Kosovo's problem, but also its countries in the West.

The debate grew stronger with Mr. Edon Muhamet Duraku, who as representative of the Union of Albanian Students in Geneva, touched on numerous exchange areas between Switzerland and Kosovo. It is an unreasonable obstacle and sees no visa removal for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. The inability to move freely says Duraku, derived from the plan many projects. According to him, the game with Kosovo citizens, around the removal of visas, is meaningless and fully political.

Duraku thinks that with the free movement of people, there would be opportunities for organising summer courses and seminars, for teachers and all levels, with what a little bit of poor quality in Kosovo education would be improved.

His discussion on this subject has impressed young Leonard Ferati, chairman of the charity Society” Geneva's Cre-Action” That priority has exchanges for Kosovo's and Swiss youth experiences.

Except it requires that the categories affected by the war and allowed so long without institutional attention be helped, enabling them to resocialize. Farming, although young, has sufficient experience in social practices. That one years ago with a group of friends through a pilot project has also helped in African countries.

After the completion of this table for special guests and other participants at the Geneva University Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, a mini cultural programme has been organised. The attendance's supply and relaxation has been cared for by singers Shaban Thaci, Naim Demi and Ramadanin Hyseni. Those as active soloists of the Antisammbli “Geneva “have performed four beautiful songs with a domestic motive.

Organisers have offered each one the possibility of enjoying Rahovec's wine, as well as other products of the state of Kosovo, displayed on Swiss markets.
