ISIS assumes responsibility for the Philippines attack

Philippine Army Officials Said I Wing SIS in this country, called “Abu Sayaf” is believed to stand behind the attack on the island of Jolo on Friday. Nine soldiers were also injured in the attack.
The Islamic State Group said this blast was the result of the work of two suicide attackers.
The Philippines has resumed its campaign against militants on the island of Jolos this year after an alleged suicide attack on a Catholic church in January left 21 people dead.
