The Democratic League of Kosovo today has denounced the prime minister's office for misusing a fund worth over 800 thousand euros. LDK) GP chief Avdullah Hoti has said that the Auditing Office has found that the Prime Minister's Office has allocated this amount of money without any procedure, which it has [...]
Hoti explains this problem, saying further that the 806 thousand-euro payments were made on the basis of the bills sent by NGOs lujah but, according to him, the report on jobs being carried out.
All payments totalling 806 thousand euros were made on the basis of bills this NGO submitted. There is no report on the work done by this NGO. And the fourth offense is that the tax coordinator has never reported to Government, as required with the Government's decision on establishing this task force. Even rightly, the audience, due to lack of reports, cannot confirm the payment order of 816 000 euros”, Hoti said at the news conference today, writes Periscopi.
The executive director of the non-governmental organisation, Bits do it Kosova '%, Luan Hasanaj, has said that this organisation possesses all documentation for the spending of the previous campaign.
“We possess all documentation for all campaign spending along with banking transactions agreements with operators, so we have everything that is presented with the laws at power”, Hasanaj said, in a proposal for Periscopi.
Hasanaj says today's statements by LDK GP chief Avdullah Hoti are only to gain political points.
“As for Hoti's statement, I assure him that he will never be able to get political points by trying to tarnish activities that have been Kosovo's best news for last year, rather than the campaign has succeeded. To clean Kosovo, hundreds of thousands of volunteers who have participated for three months know all Kosovo citizens”, Hasanaj has said of Periscopi.
Also, Hasanaj has indicated that they have asked the National Audition Office (ZKA) for answers to remarks concerning this NGO.
The campaign to clean Kosovo up had begun on September 15th of last year and lasted three months. As a result of this campaign in Kosovo, over 900 waste depots have been evacuated./Periscopi/
