Haradinaj's former adviser is illegally appointed consular in New York

Nita Himaduna, former adviser to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has been taking the consular degree for three weeks and has been sent on a mission to the Kosovo Consulate in New York, United States. The decision, a copy of which has provided “Koha Ditore”, is received by Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli. The document is dated May 15th and has entered into force on June 1st.
“Zj. Nita Himaduna is appointed consul and appointed to serve in the Council Mission of the Republic of Kosovo in New York/ The United States, with a four-year term of (4) years. After the mandate ends, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not obliged to arrange it. Nita Himadouna in Foreign Service”, said at the first point of the decision. “Mrs. Nita Himaduna is equivalent to the consulusus3 degree.
Based on the legislation in effect, the Law for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Law on Foreign Service and the Law on the Consulial Service can't be appointed through political keys. With political keys, up to 50 percent of diplomatic mission chiefs can be appointed, while all other members of the diplomatic/consual staff of all ranks, by law, must be among the members of the foreign career service. This requires acceptance through open competition.
Butrint Berisha is a researcher at the Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) and is author of a study on the Foreign Service. He has indicated that parties have consistently used diplomatic and consular service to position members or supporters. In other words, parties have intervened in the work of the illegal Foreign Service.
