Prime Minister Haradinaj has stressed the memory that the people of Kosovo are guarding for the American general for their involvement in the war in stopping Serbian military operations in Kosovo, preventing the killings and deportation of Kosovo citizens, and returning them to their hearths.
“Intervention of NATO and the liberation of Kosovo are acts each citizen of Kosovo remembers and respects with great respect. In this context General Clark has been portrayed in our memory as the man of great hope and salvation of our people”, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said.
At a meeting with General Clark, Prime Minister Haradinaj said that Kosovo today has managed to advance the Euro-Atlantic agenda, strengthen its security and law system, and is constantly working to be a partner of our strategic allies, thanks for the new engagement, on economic development projects and investment opportunities in Kosovo.
“NATO has a permanent place in Kosovo and Kosovo in NATO, and Yu Gen Clark will always remain in our memory as the man of hope and rescue”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Honoring memory and respect, Prime Minister Haradinaj has donated General Clark to the Post Office, which Kosovo Post upgraded to General Wesley Clark's portrait on the 20th anniversary of NATO forces' entry into Kosovo.
General Wesley Clark has thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj and expressed lasting honour and memory for Kosovo and its people. In gratitude and respect to Prime Minister Haradinaj's wife, General Clark, has donated the book on Kosovo's history.
