The German daily “Bild” comes today with an exclusive text accompanying it with audio recordings, indicating by it how vote is bought in Albania. It is under the title “as the mafia manipulates the elections in Albania”, Bild brings the recording of conversations conducted by Albanian investigators, showing which mafia clans the world has bought for Prime Minister Edi Rama's party.
One of these talks is heard according to “Bild”, Deputy Astrit Avdylaj, who, according to investigators, heads a gang dealing with international drug trafficking while talking to the director of the Aqua in Durres.
In the second census, Astrit Avdylaj talks with Shijak Mayor, who calls him at a meeting with Durres Mayor Vangush Dako.
The third census is once again Avdylaj, who talks with Arjan Ndaku, brother of Sijak Socialist MP Ilir Ndzic, before the latter is elected in Parliament.
While in another census, Avdylaj talks with the chairman of the Socialist Party of Shijak, Elton Arbana, with whom he speaks in harsh tones.
Also, “Bild” brings the call between Avdyllaj and Durres Mayor Vangush Dako.
“Should this country be allowed to join the EU?”, ask “Bild”.
“Albania wants, Brussels is not troubled much, and Germany expresses support for membership negotiations, talking about progress in its democratisation. But in fact, writes “Bild”, the country is sinking into chaos. It's at a crossroads between democracy and the republic of Mafia”.
