EU countries to be included along with US in dialogue

At the meeting Wessel held with officials from France and Germany, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the co-chairman of the state delegation Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti have also attended.

The head of the Parliament voiced confidence that the two states would support Kosovo even in the visa liberalisation process.

“We had a very good meeting, the two most powerful EU countries Germany and France are supporting us, are supporting Kosovo on our Euro-Atlantic journey. I am very convinced that Germany and France will support Kosovo as well as visa liberalisation for our citizens, a right that we are hoping will happen this year. Also, in the process of dialogue there is good news that EU countries will also be involved together with the United States in reaching a historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which, as you know, will open a better perspective to the entire Western Balkans. Our positions were very unique to the Kosovo delegation, they are the attitudes of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, attitudes which relate to our constitutional mandate to the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity. It is a good day for Kosovo for the fact itself that two countries like Germany and France are supporting us, along with a partnership which is eternal to the United States with Kosovo”, he said.
