Although it was for the construction of the Central Mosque in Pristina to begin in 2018, this has not been done.
In the Pristina municipality, the contracting company has expired with construction permits, while the Islamic Community has not given a stance on the issue.
The Project on Building the Great Mosque in Pristina has been done for a year.
The mosque's Gurthhamel is set in 2012. There has been no other work done since then and so far, except the erosion of the country and the settlement of gravel.
Pristina municipality a brief answer for RTV Dukagjin, has said the contracted company owns the conditions for mosque construction, but not permission.
This has expired since the construction permit given in 2018.
On the other side, RTV Duagjini for several days has tried to take a stance from the Kosovo Islamic Community, that when the works are expected to begin, they have not returned.
The mosque's construction was originally envisioned to include a space of about 50,000 square metres. However, due to inadequate location, two levels of underground parking lots have been evacuated, which are expected to be about 400,000 square metres.
The project is designed to cost up to 40m euros and is financed by the Turkish Islamic Community.
Construction of the mosque was meant to last about three years from the start of the project's implementation.
