In a statement on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the end of NATO's operation that ended ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, White House spokesman Judd Deere said: “Pristina and Belgrade must double efforts to work towards an inclusive agreement focused on mutual recognition and immediately remove obstacles to progress. ”
The only way for a better future is a dialogue between neighbours aimed at normalising relations and opening the way for Serbia and Kosovo to have their rightful place within the Euro-Atlantic community,”, the spokesman said, the Voice of America.
The United States is willing to help throughout this process, but it is up to Kosovo and Serbia to take the next steps,” said in the White House statement, which urges Pristina and Belgrade to act now and not leave the job to future generations.
