So has Ilir Abdullah, head of the Regional Water Company “Pristina”.
Abdullahu has said that currently the water level at Lake Batlava is minus 4.3m from the maximum level already at Badoc Lake, the water level from the maximum level is minus 5.8m.
He has appealed to citizens not to misuse drinking water and save it.
We prefer to citizens not to misuse their drinking water as we are facing a lack of rainfall from the period we left, and in the current period when the country is facing high temperatures that a not small amount of lakes will evaporate and levels drop will speed up as a result of drought. We invite all consumers to take care of the use of drinking water and save each one of us to increase water supply security for the following months”, Abdullah has appealed for news.net.
To the contrary, Abdullah has made it known that Batlava Lake and Badoci have the only source of water filling from snow and rain.
According to him, despite falling water in these two lakes, the supply of drinking water in Pristina continues to be stable.
And you remember that our lakes are filled only by snow and rain and we have no alternative to fill these lakes so we seek understanding and interaction in the situations ahead. The supply continues to be stable, and for the next steps we will keep you informed”, Abdullah has indicated.
