974 senior officials to undergo full control of property

The Anti-Corruption Agency, in the presence of media and civil society, has attracted lots to top public officials who will undergo full control of property. Beyond this list stemming from public lots, the Agency has a mandate to make full control of the wealth of other officials who are not short-listed.
The agency can do so under official duty or at the request of the public or other interested persons, in cases where there are doubts based on the accuracy and correctness of statements.

Full control of declared property is in line with Law No. 04/L-228 for Change and Fulfillment of Law No. 04/L-050 for the Declaration, Intervention and Property of High Public Officials, under which the full control is subject to 20% of officials obliged to declare their property.
List extraction procedure for full control of top public officials' property
It was developed using two vases in one vase, and nine folded sheets were placed, which were pulled by media representatives. Only one leaflet had the inscription,
“Selector”, while others have been empty. One of the cameramen drew leaflets with the inscription “Selector” and, according to the procedure, drew a number from the second vase, where numbers were also placed from 1 to 9 leaflets. The selected number was 6 and to reach 20% of the total list, this number has risen progressively for 5 (five) to the bottom of the list.
