70 movies in the PriFest

Even this hot summer, PriFest will give you a unique opportunity to spend your nights in the movies. There are a total of 70 films to be screened during the PriFest festival, the 11th edition, expected to begin in mid-July on July 16th to July 21st, when the price sharing ceremony is marked.

In a total of 10 different programmes, out of which five are racers and 5 non-combatants come, 6 world premieres, 5 international premieres, 1 European premiere, 17 regional premieres and 34 other premieres in Kosovo.

Fatos Berisha, the artistic director of PriFest, is very pleased with the number of applications at the festival and quality of films.

I'm satisfied with the number of applications, but even more with the quality of films, especially in some competing categories. The number of world and regional premieres speaks that the PriFest over time has turned into important international festivals in the region”, he said.

According to a communique of organisers, the screening of films will take place in four locations, at the National Theatre where and will be the main space of the festival, Cinema ABC and Kino Armata, as well as in the traditional space of the festival in the open sky at Zahir Pajaziti Square.

Even this year as any other year, the festival also offers free access to the elderly, the age of 65 and more, and for students. The Kosovar film “Fusha of the thons” directed by Arzana Kraja opens the festival on 16 July. On the first night, the opening of the festival will be marked with the film “The Elinal Fuego”, which will be shown in two halls, in the National Theatre by 21.00h and in Cinema ABC by 22.00h. Many foreign guests from the region and other countries, as well as Kosovo filmmakers, will be present to present their films, but also to participate in the festival's numerous monitoring activities to be offered under Pri KFORUM, music evenings, confera nca, conversation and masterlata, so we invite you to stay in Pristina during the week of PriFest to celebrate the week of film in Pristina.
