In the Pristina municipality only this month, 23 cases of being bitten by ticks have been reported, while large numbers of stingers have been found in other municipalities.
From the National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo, they have said that only in four municipalities in the country so far have 541 people been bitten.
Era Piraeus, official for information on this Institute, has told “Zerin” that only in the Malisheva municipality this year have 263 people been bitten.
She has said that citizens have been bitten by the ticks as a result of their staying in meadows and also because of their unacquacy dress. “So far, the number of people bitten by the ticks has reached 263 in the municipality of Malisheva, 138 cases in the Suhareka municipality, 92 cases in the municipality of Kline, and 48 cases in the municipality of Rahovec, that is because of staying in uncontaminated meadows, bushes, and non-adequate<1>, she said.
