Triumf Riza's killer defends Sekiraq, relates how he committed the murder

I didn't get Enver Sekiraqa to kill Triumf Rizza. No one has ever encouraged me to commit this murder. I've done it for my own business. Nor did Enver Sekiraqa urge me, nor did any member of his family, nor did I receive any reward from them”, said Berisha witness.

Witness Berisha said the 35-year prison sentence he was pronounced for the murder of Triumf Riza was not held to cover Enver Sekiraqun, who has also denied receiving a reward for the case.

At Tuesday's session, the injured Shefqet Riza, the now father of the late Trimf Riza, has refused to pose questions about Arben Berisha, saying that “I have no questions about this criminal”.

After that, Berisha has reacted, saying that <x0 criminal> you are himself”.

He has denied that there were friendly reports with now accused Enver Sekiraqa, adding that he knew him as a figure and that he had met him twice in his life.

During his statement, witness Berisha has presented his version of the critical day of August 30th 2007, of how he was now deprived of life of the late Triumf Riza.

Witness Berisha said that everything had started until he was in the café parking lot “Quenes”, in Pristina's “dania” neighbourhood.

When I'm out of this bar I'm walking through the parking lot, now I've been whistled from the back right now to the late Triumf Riza, and all of a sudden we're in touch. When he's gone, I'm back. During his statement, he said that out of fear for his life, he had fired 11 bullets in the direction of the late Riza now, with the reasoning that he had seen the death man's hand coming near the belt.

Now Triumfi's walking around for the black belt, when he got up and said if he fuck you, he called his right hand on the left side next to the belt, I thought he was gonna pull the gun out. He said he had acted in self-defence that day and that it was not his intention, to kill Trife Riza.

Berisha said that with the late Riza, there had been two more cases of dispute before the critical case, where, according to him, he was detained without having been reportedly a policeman.

When asked by the defender of the accused Sekiraqa, Kosovar lawyer Kelmendi, about the gun she fired that day, the witness claimed that he had bought that gun four months earlier with the sole intention of selling it.

In the court's question, Judge Shashivar Hoti answered that he had knowledge of the use of weapons after being his soldier The KLA in fighting in Kostunica, but denied to be a professional level.

Otherwise, Enver Sekiraqa was sentenced on May 17th 2016 by the Pristina Constitutional Court for two criminal acts for “inciting in the conduct of serious murder” and for the “deym” with a unique sentence of 37 years in prison, while was released for criminal work “rape”.

The Court of Appeals, on October 24th of last year, had held a hearing concerning the appointment of security measures against Enver Sekirrasqas, after the same court on October 19th, in the evening hours, had released him from custody and pronounced the measure of house arrest.

For changing the security measure against him, three Appeal judges -- two of EULEX's ranks -- Elka Ermenkova and Anna Adamska-Gallant, as well as local judge Marem Memaj.

But this court, after just two days, had decided to re-enter it again, Enver Sekiraqen, and for that, a photo published on the social network was taken by friends who had visited it after being released from custody.

With this, the second-instance court had estimated that Enver Sekiraqa violated the measure of house arrest he had been assigned.

Otherwise, at the hearing of the Court of Appeals, which was held on September 6th last year, where complaints of the parties were considered, Enver Sekiraqa, had sought to be released from custody and protected in freedom.

And as a guarantee of his release, Sekiraqa had offered his fortune, including his home, establishment, and a sum of money, which he said would be collected with the help of his family.

The international prosecutor of the Appeals Prosecutor, Anca Stan, at the September 6th session of the Appeals College, had stated that besides the complaint claims, there was nothing to add, but the same had said that the demand of the defence party to exclude some of the crude evidence is wrong.

In April 2014, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo had filed charges against Enver Seker Seker for three criminal acts, for instigating the murder of Triumf Riza, <x0detyrim” and “raped”, where the first-degree court had declared him innocent. Prosecutor claims incident in “Swiss Casino” between Sequirah and Riza was one of the motives that led to the killing of Triumf Riza.

In “incident Swiss Casino” had occurred in December 2006, while Enver Sekiraqa and several of his escorts were included on one side, and the late Triumf Riza of Arben Selmani on the other. Arben Selmani was left in this seriously injured incident.

Triumf Riza was killed on 30 August 2007, the murder for which Arben Berisha has been sentenced to 35 years in prison, while Enver Sekiraqa to 37 years.
