“E commend Albania and Prime Minister Rama for receiving clear recommendation from the European Commission for opening membership negotiations with the European Union”, Thaci has written.
He says he hopes such recommendation will turn into a decision, as Albania deserves to be part of the big EU family.
“This recommendation wish to turn into a decision by the Council of the European Union, for Albania to meritily become part of the European family”, Thaci has added.
That wish of Thaci, in which he particularly congratulates Edi Rama for a positive step towards integration into the EU, comes after a severe and constant clash with former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
As for the EU, Thaci has consistently criticised European Union institutions for not liberalising visas for Kosovo, saying that even despite the fact that Kosovo has met the conditions, they are proving unable to make a decision.
