Up to nine years in prison for Syrian returnees

The people who have returned from Syria are being investigated for “Doing foreign wars”. Prosecutor Sylla Hoxha has told the newspaper “Voice” that for such actions they can receive sentences of up to nine years in prison.

The “Persons who have returned from Syria are being investigated for taking part in foreign wars and terrorism. Mainly the sentences these persons who have been part of terrorist organisations are brought from 3 to 8 years, and between 5 and 9 years in prison, Hoxha has said.

Men, but women who have returned from Syria are currently in criminal procedure. The four men are continuing to remain in custody, while women are currently under house arrest, which will last a month until another decision is made, which will depend on investigations the prosecution is conducting.
