President inauguration “Base KLA”

He has said it is an area of extraordinary resistance to the Kosovo Liberation Army.

President Thaci said that as long as these values are respected and the families of martyrs respected, the disabled, veterans, then the country is on a safe track.

My message today is as your friend, as your fellow warrior in the worst years for the nation, but even the most proud of our country, remain as you have always been united in war, even in peace, even further. Only united were we able to succeed”, he said.

Addressing the families Tahiri and Nurak in the Sculejouseza, Thaci stressed that the state of Kosovo is institutionally respecting and honouring the resistance of the Kosovo Liberation Army in this three weeks, in the village of Puluzina, Tica, Licoc and all this space, which was the core of the Liberation Army masovisation for the whole of Kosovo.

We are all witnesses that here came to be distributed throughout Kosovo to the nation's best activists. Here came both Fehmiu and Xheva and Komanovo commanders, and countless other commanders who fell into the Istikas of freedom, to be later distributed throughout Kosovo, to expand the front of the Kosovo Liberation Army war. And it wasn't random why they first came here. They came because this is where the war started. There was no Serbia here, but there was organisation. Here was the Kosovo Liberation Army”, President Thaci has said.

The head of state expressed the highest gratitude for all those who fought for Kosovo's freedom and for the families of martyrs.

There are many heroes, many martyrs. Today and every time we come here and every door we knock and enter, we enter houses that have been Kosovo Liberation Army headquarters. Only that general mobilization did we win”, he said.

Through the inauguration of plaque “Base of KLA” at the homes of Hasan Tahiri and Idriz Nurak in the Skyeraj Pulzia, President Thaci has said he is remembering and honouring the resistance to the Kosovo Liberation Army's freedom struggle.
