Due to low level of implementation of project E SIP, which the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology received years ago from the World Bank, this project has been reduced.
The project, which has been worth $11 million, is already down to $7.5 million. This project has been aimed at improving the educational system, writes Koha Ditore today.
The World Bank, weeks ago, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Finance has restructured this project, canceling it August 3.5 million euros.
Most of the components that have been previously realized through project E SIP has been reduced. This, as the entire project must be completed by December 31st, 2019, and the implementation period of the entire plan is very short.
The “Education System upgrade in Kosovo” was approved by the World Bank on September 10, 2015, and after ratification by the Kosovo Assembly has become effective on May 13th 2016.
