The attacks on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates on 12 May had left rifts on four ships, reports the BBC, translates Periscopi.
The incident came after the escalation of tensions between Iran and the United States.
Last Friday, US Deputy Admiral Michael Gilday said he believed “that the attacks originated in Iran's leadership on its highest degrees”.
Mr. Bolton, a longtime agent of the regime change idea in Iran, told the Admiral's words after a visit to Emirate today, telling reporters that “was clear that Iran was behind the” attack.
