Early parliamentary elections in Greece will be held 7 July. The date has been confirmed by government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos during an interview given to Alpha television.
He said July 7th was chosen after a consultation between Prime Minister Tsipras with the Minister of Education, who, according to him, agreed to decide this day in order not to prevent senior exams. According to the spokesman, the government will continue to maintain its powers and there will be no resignation of Prime Minister Tsipras but technical government.
“There is no resignation of the prime minister or technical government, the situation is completely different from September 2015,” he said. /Alsat-M/
