Former Kosovo president and former LDK leader Fatmir Sejdiu says the borders cannot be changed. He speaks of the Berlin Summit, of President Hashim Thaci's idea and the danger Kosovo may face in relations with its international friends.
In an interview for Kosovo, he talks about dialogue, the partners of the current ruling coalition, LDK and possible new elections.
Fatmir Sejdiu says Kosovo cannot change borders in any form, and that, according to him, was confirmed at the Berlin Summit.
According to him, there has never been any formula from international friends that says that you can do whatever you want to do on the borders. While, border movement says it would cause instability in the region.
When talking about the country's north, it says Serbia has managed to hold a significant part of Serbian citizens hostage, where they are told by Belgrade.
Here, he admits that neither locals nor internationals worked enough. Sejdiu even says there have been generations of the international community that have confirmed that there are no problems in their mandate.
President Hashim Thaci's statements of border change, Sejdiu calls them disturbing.
When you talk about the Kosovo- Serbia says it should be corronated, while for the state negotiating team says there is no result so far.
He says a better consolidation of party leaders is needed and that the opposition is responsible.
Sejdiu when talking about the 100 per cent tax committed to products from Serbia, says he is not the reason for the stagnation of dialogue.
The tax, he says, should be well analyzed at this time, even though he feels that good action was at the time set.
As you talk about current governance, the former president claims that it is a number issue and a number fight, which he says keeps under pressure and does not bring quality.
When discussing possible domestic elections, Sejdiu says he has noticed interesting movements from platforms that once had coalitions.
” It's been terrible, not because it happened, but that there's been a huge barricade and words have been eaten, especially that of six months; that never with the PDK!, and later for the state's interest allegedly became a long-lasting coalition, almost before were the state's interest in questioning. I'm not saying that a party should have such equalizing positions and then cross over them”, Sejdiu declares, adding that the confrontational language in Parliament must be removed.
Sejdiu claims that the LDK is mistaken with its non-review for dialogue, with demarcation and some others.
The LDK says it has capital that doesn't have other subjects and that should retain that capital, especially intellectual one.
As for the manner of voting for the LDK chairman, it says there has been a business rate when a secret vote is said to be needed, while acknowledging that there are rivalry in it but that it does not call divisions.
Fatmir Sejdiu has been president of Kosovo, and at the same time chairman of the LDK, is now chairman of the party's honour.
