The United States respects citizens' democratic right to protest peacefully. We urge all participants in today's protest both citizens and law enforcement forces to refrain from violence. Promoting physical clashes or throwing explosives, Molotov bombs and stones is undemocratic and illegal. Those involved in acts of violence commit a crime and must be held accountable. The United States urges all sides to show restraint, reject violence and engage in a constructive dialogue”, the US Embassy's statement in Albania said.
