At a media conference, CEC head Valdete Daka has announced the data from the release of citizens in today's elections, where by 19.00 have voted a total of 42.42 percent.
“In 87 municipal locations have all closed in time at 19.00. According to preliminary data from the ground, the voting process in these four municipalities has been conducted without any problems. We inform you that the right to vote in this extraordinary election was exploited by 24.595, or 42.42 percent of eligible citizens from a total of 57,983. In the October elections until the same time, 23.981 voters, or 41.90 percent, had voted. This is the exit by the municipalities: Leposaviq 41.57 per cent, Zubin Potok 50.74 per cent, Zvecan 48.17 per cent and in North Mitrovica 38.74 per cent”, Daka said.
It has made it known that from 19.00 it runs a 24-hour deadline for complaints of political subjects in PZAP over the voting process in northern Kosovo, while in terms of the upcoming conference where preliminary results will be announced later by the CEC.
Otherwise, in today's elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, there have been 57,983 people in 87 countries, or 970 more voters, compared to the October 22nd 2017 local elections.
In these elections, 12 candidates from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Serbian List compete.
Elections in northern Mitrovica have 22 thousand and 242 people, in Leposaviq 18 thousand and 390, Zvecan 9 thousand and 276 and Zubin Potok 8 thousand and 612 people.
According to the CEC ranking, Wessel from the Vetevendosje Movement, Sacir Hetemi from the PDK and Zoran Todiq from the Serbian List are noble.
In Zubin Potok competes Liridona Kahriman from the Vetevendosje Movement, Hysen Mehmeti from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Srdjan Vullovic from the Serbian List. While in Zvecan, for the mayor of this municipality, Avdi Peci from the Vetevendosje Movement, Ilir Peci from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Vucina Jankoviq from the Serbian List.
In northern Mitrovica, Erden Attic from the Vetevendosje Movement, Gonge Caushi from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Goran Rakic from the Serbian List compete.
The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has hired 670 commissionors for the extraordinary election for mayors of four municipalities in the country's north.
The extraordinary elections are held in Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Northern Mitrovica, following the chairman's resignation there due to the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products.
