Julian Assange was too sick to appear in a video on recent hearings about the possibility of his extradition to the US, Wikileax founder's lawyers have said in court.
These hearings were the first since May 2nd, when American government lawyers started arguing about his extradition to face trial for what he describes as the greatest compound in secret information history, writes The Guardian, translates Periscope.
Assange's lawyer, Gareth Pierce, told the Westminster court that Assange was too sick to show up on video from prison. The date for the next hearing was confirmed June 12th.
The US has requested the extradition of Assange, who was expelled from the Ecuadoran Embassy in London on April 11th.
He may face decades in American prisons, international media suggest.
