Hans-Joachim Lanksch was born in 1943 in Brownschweig (RFGJ) and moved from youth to Munich, where he studied in the fields of Balkan philology, Slavic, popular culture and albanology.
Thanks to his friendship with Professor Martin Camaj, he had conducted a deepening study of Albanian Albanian language, culture and literature.
This acquaintance with Professor Camaj ceased to break free from Albanian literature and lyricism by carrying her angle into German - speaking space.
He translated prominent German writers and poets such as Martin Camaj, Lasgus Poradeci, Azem Shkreli, Ali Podrimja, Fatos Arapi, Visar Giti, etc.
Special attention was devoted to almost half a century of bringing in the new generations of Albanian writers and poets, making them known in world literature, such as: Frederick Rjep, Jamarber Marco, Rudolf Marku, Elvira Dones, Ridvan Debra, Mimoza Ahmeti, Lushanaku, Lindita Arapi, Agron Tufa, Ledia Dashi, etc.
His work was launched with the „Nikolaus Lenau“prices of the Association of Artists in Eslingen (1999); „Silver Genda“ (Tiran 2002) and „Anim Shkreli“ (2018).
