New Zealand cancels collective Iftars for Security Reasons

The president of the Federation of Islamic Associations in New Zealand, Mustafa Faruk, said that under the measures in the mosque, with the aim of securing Muslims, collective Iftars will be cancelled.
In addition to their measures, additional security measures have been provided by New Zealand police. Faruk thanked the police for their support after the terrorist attacks.
Faruk said that for security reasons during this Ramadan, some of the activities that were previously organised will be cancelled. One such event is the Open Days of Glass, which were promoted for June.
Faruk pointed out that because of security they have decided not to call people at the mosque.
On March 15 of this year, at least 50 people were killed in two separate terrorist attacks during the Noor and Linwood Mosque prayer in the town of Christchurch, New Zealand.
