“If Kosovo and Serbia reach agreement, Serbian authorities need to persuade Russia to reconcile with that solution”, Strongski of the Carnegie Institute thinks.
He has added that there are currently over <x0 nationalist options, and Serbia's president does not want to appear to be taking less interest in Serbia's interests than Russia is doing this”.
The “Authorities in Serbia want to be convinced they have Putin's consent. Lack of Serbia would cost in many cases, while Russia on the other hand could exploit the situation for boosting problems in relation to Western countries”, Strongski has said.
According to him, it currently appears that some sort of agreement has been reached between Serbia and Kosovo.
