The chairman of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, today, on the April 8th Roma Day in Kosovo, hosted a group of representatives of this community, led by MP Allbert Kinoll.
Wishing all citizens of the Roma community in Kosovo for their day, Chief Parliamentary Veselin said that minority communities are one of the main assets our state has.
He said that the constitutional and legal definition of minority communities' rights and freedoms puts Kosovo in high position in the global rankings, as a state with equal opportunities for all its citizens, regardless of ethnicity and religion.
Wessel appreciated the Roma community's statehood in Kosovo and its contribution to advancing democratic processes in the country.
The head of the Parliament said institutions would continue commitments to improve living conditions and boost the welfare of all citizens of the country.
Representatives of the Roma community, for their part, thanked Chief Parliamentary Veselin for his preservative commitment and support to all minority communities in Kosovo, including that Roma.
