According to this organisation, the reason for this petition is that prosecutor Rexhep Macedonia has seriously offended a student who denounced a professor for sexual harassment.

” Procuror Rex1, instead of initiating independent and objective investigations in the case of reporting sexual harassment, has decided to do the victim's “falsification of “for denouncing, thus directly defending the denounciation of the profesor in the investigation, as well as threatening and blackmailing the victim of sexual harassment to continue reporting and seeking justice in connection with the claim that the professor has sexually molested<3>

As the Student Democracy noted in his statement, the prosecutor had stressed that the report is being made three years after experiencing sexual harassment, and that he had taken the opportunity to threaten the victim's mate.
