The Kosovo Prosecutor's Council (KPK) has held the next meeting, where it is set to cancel the competition for the appointment of chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor, while it has authorised the Legal Affairs Commission as soon as it drafts the regulation for the appointment of prosecutors based on legal changes and the Constitutional Court Act.
The council has also appointed Prosecutor Africa Shefkiu, a leader of the PRSK chief prosecutor's office.
Chief Chairman Bahri Hyseni has said at the start of the meeting that the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council expects important processes, the implementation of which requires added dynamics, which will be implemented with the help of international partners, with the aim of strengthening and general advancement of the prosecutorial system.
The council has also adopted the declarations for advancing two positions for prosecutors at the Department of Basic Prosecutorial Crimes in Pristina and a position for prosecutors at the Department for Established Prosecutorship in Ferizaj.
