Currently according to results, LSDM candidate Stevo Pendarovski led 41.77 per cent of the vote before VMRO's candidate. Gordana Silianovska Davkova's DPMNE with 38.69%. Albanian candidate Blerim Reka has 15.65 per cent.
The president can be elected in the first round, if any candidate gets over 50 percent of the total number of votes, but to date this has never happened, so the run-off for those who will result from the two main contestants is scheduled to be held on May 5th.
