Shpend Ahmeti sharply reacts to the game of the light-Gilani match: Stadium belongs to Pristina citizens

The NFFK days ago decided that the 26th lap match between Light and Gjilan will take place at the “Fadil Vokri” stadium in Pristina.

Unhappy with this Federation decision have been Pristina fans, but now the mayor of the municipality, Shpend Ahmeti, has also reacted.

This is his reaction:

Pristina Stadium is the property of the Pristina municipality. Since the renovation, the government has not made technical admission, and therefore the renovated object has not surrendered to the municipality.

The facility has begun to have problems yet without accession. Because of the importance of Kosovo's international matches, we have declared nothing about it.

But now, someone has begun to divide the local office and the Federation has decided to play other championship matches such as Dr. Gilani without consulting the municipality at all.

The stadium is neither government nor Federation. It belongs to the citizens of Pristina. We have the honour of playing Kosovo towards qualifying for the Pristina championship championships, but no one has the right to divide locals or set other matches.

We ask the ministry to hand over the stadium as soon as possible according to the agreement, and so that any local decisions and games can be made legally, because otherwise we are obliged to release space with law enforcement.

We have understanding, but everything must be done by law and in accordance with public interest.
