Kosovo Police spokesman Daut Hoxha has announced to Kosovo that last year's December has closed with 55 cases of money counterfeiting, and this year January, with 67 cases, to mark a small decline in February, with 61 cases for counterfeiting money.
In the Kosovo Police's response to the issue, it is said that this institution has implemented a large number of police activities against criminal acts, including those that under the Penal Code are named “money falsification”.
“in December are 55 cases of money counterfeiting, in January 67 cases and in February 61. In this context we have also implemented a number of police activities and against criminal acts that under the Penal Code are named “for falsification of money” and we can conclude that as a result of these operational efforts, relevant evidence has been confiscated and suspected persons involved in such cases in consultation with competent law bodies have been handled in the application of the applicable 31x3>, he said.
Hoxha has also talked about Kosovo Police commitment to the welfare of the country's citizens.
Kosovo's “Police in the function of carrying out legal tasks and authorisations has taken continuous action to implement police plans, combat negative phenomena, organised crime, as well as reduce illegal activities in general, which may affect the welfare of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, it has indicated.
