The Aqua's spokeswoman, Arieta Doctor, has been very successful in collecting debts through private accounts.
Debts of public institutions, businesses and household consumers to the Regional Waterwork “Pristina” have reached over 40m euros.
Regional Water Company spokeswoman “Pristina”, Arieta doctor, told Radio Kosovo that this sum is too high and that it is hampering the normal work of the company.
If we talk about the debt of the insurance sector of all consumers, small and large businesses and public institutions, it is currently about forty-onem euros. Based on consumer density, normally the largest debt leads the Pristina Community with surrounding areas. ”
The doctor also stressed that the priority of the Regional Waterwork “Pristina” is collecting debts and reducing technical water losses, because these are damaging the company greatly. She added that since last year the collection of debts has started through private accounts, and this has resulted as quite successful.
“The focus of the Regional Waterwork “Pristina” is the reduction of technical and commercial water loss and collection of debts from consumers. What's important is that since last year we've been sending out the private finish materials, and this has proved to be something very important. ”
While researcher from the Organisation “Balkan Green Foundation”, Besfort Kosova, said the lack of co-ordination between the central and local institutions is affecting an inadequate planning for water protection and management.
“Unfortunately, there is a miscoordination between central institutions, then the central ones with local ones, and that's why we have poor water management and water-rich surface maintenance.
Representatives of institutions and organisations call for water saving. Because in the absence of atmospheric rainfall during high temperatures citizens may face major water reductions.
