The South Police Station in Mitrovica has begun implementing the action plan added to road safety delivery, with the focus being the urban area of the city of Mitrovica, aimed at continuing to establish safety in road traffic, reducing accidents, eliminating irregular parking lots, and eliminating columns in the city.
The action plan results as a necessity of the established circumstances and the previous measures to take under operational police planning before the summer season in the town of Mitrovica.
Part of the policy priorities in the coming days will be the streets “Queen Teute” and “Shemis Ahmeti”, taking into account the flow of vehicles on these two roads that connect to national and regional roads, which therefore require commitment to enable a functional road traffic system.
Within the operational plan, increased measures and phases of action will be in succession, the flow of road traffic in the city will be controlled and directed by police officials.
In this case, drivers and other traffic participants, depending on the circumstances, will receive all relevant instructions from police officials on the ground.
Added police measures under the action plan, even though there is no primary goal of punishment, for all participants in road traffic that conflict with traffic laws, police will continue to pronounce legal measures, which will serve as preventive measures.
